Dawn understands the impact of divorce goes far beyond division of property and parenting responsibilities. “If nearly half of all marriages end in divorce, families deserve a system that heals rather than harms.” The Budner Firm connects clients with resources and support to address challenges so they can embrace the second chance that comes with every major transition in life.

With connection, collaboration and counsel, we can grow through what we go through.

Dawn Ryan Budner

is a skilled family law attorney with a reputation for excellence in the courtroom and at the negotiating table. As a partner with a top Dallas civil firm, she earned headline verdicts in state and federal courts.

In 2015, Dawn moved from commercial litigation to representing clients in family law matters involving complex, high net-worth marital estates and contentious child custody disputes.

As in civil practice, Dawn has achieved extraordinary results for family law clients—like overturning a five-year-old divorce decree that was obtained with fraud. Or a settlement many times over the unconscionable terms of a marital agreement that was obtained without full disclosure. Less flashy but just as notable are the many clients Dawn has helped to restructure their families and estates in collaborative divorce or with a settlement that avoided unnecessary depletion of assets.

When your family’s wellbeing is at stake, Dawn Budner provides the intellect, experience, and strategic insight to guide you forward.
